SYNUA, Armoured Pivot Door
The three-storey villa, designed by renowned architect Laurence Sonck, is located in Can Furnet, one of Ibiza’s best private neighbourhoods, equipped with high security standards and many amenities such as restaurants and sports fields.
The undisputed protagonist of this seaside residence is the entrance with the Synua door, with mirror cladding and stainless steel band, which welcomes and astonishes the visitor by offering a unique experience: it is white that prevails, a resplendent white that receives and returns light from dawn to dusk, flooding the villa with sunshine and vitality.
The large windows welcome the sun’s rays and allow the outdoor landscape to become part of the inhabitants’ domestic life. The terraces allow daily activities to be carried out outdoors, in the open air, where the feeling of communion with nature is accentuated by the presence of the pleasant teak flooring, a detail also echoed on the walls of the façade, where alternating staves create spectacular plays of light.
And the natural elements also include stone, skilfully used, without falling into excessive coldness, to clad some sections of the exterior walls.
Light, sun, air, sky, green, hills, water, sea… nature is present everywhere, surrounding the entire structure and infusing it with energy. The irresistible ground pool on the ground floor overlooking the living area also fits into this context.
