Alongside the red gondolino, at the heart of Venetian tradition
Some traditions continue to live through the gestures, people and crafts that renew them every day.
The Regata Storica di Venezia is one of them. This year, we chose to take part by sponsoring the crew of the red gondolino, rowed by Alessandro Secco and Pietro Meneghini.
Our participation began with the evocative blessing of the gondolini at the Basilica della Salute, before moving into the heart of the event on Sunday, 6 September, with the two-oared Gondolini Regatta along the Grand Canal.
The red gondolino finished the race in fifth place, with a time of 31’26”.
For us, however, taking part in the Regata Storica means above all supporting a culture of craftsmanship and know-how that we feel deeply connected to.
Venetian rowing requires technique, experience, sensitivity and a deep understanding of materials. These are the same values we recognise in our idea of arsenalità: the meeting of craftsmanship, precision and innovation that guides the way we design and create.
Supporting this tradition therefore means preserving a body of knowledge and helping to keep it alive, so that it can continue to evolve and be passed on to future generations.
