Architecture as an open dialogue: key moments from the Tour with Osteria dell’Architetto and looking ahead to September
At Oikos, we believe that architecture is never just form or matter, but the outcome of an encounter between people, places, and shared visions. Grounded in this principle, we renewed our commitment as main partner of Osteria dell’Architetto, the project created by Fiorenzo Valbonesi and Roberto Bosi designed to cultivate informal and sophisticated dialogue around the “culture of knowing-how”.

The value of relationships: a journey across the Italian Peninsula
Between May and June, the core phase of the tour’s second edition took shape. An itinerary that saw us alongside hundreds of designers across various Italian regions, placing human connection and direct professional exchange at the very center of design.
The stages of this cycle touched upon iconic locations in the Italian landscape, weaving together architecture, winemaking, and landscape:
- In Sardinia, for the very first time in the format’s history, at Tenute Maestrale in Donori (Cagliari) together with Spazio Zero studio.
- In Emilia-Romagna, within the urban regeneration spaces of Reggiane Parco Innovazione in Reggio Emilia, where the Osteria counter hosted a dialogue with BDR Bureau.
- In Puglia, among the olive trees of Masseria Secolario in Lecce, with architects from Associates Architecture.
- In Sicily, with stages in Noto (Enrico Dusi Studio) leading to the concluding event in Palermo on June 17 with Carlana Mezzalira Pentimalli studio.
Each evening gathered over 120 next-generation architects, confirming the strength of a format capable of moving beyond the rigidity of traditional lectures. Around a table, discussions on contemporary living, materials, and contextual integration reclaimed the spontaneity of genuine listening and shared passion. For our company, listening closely to those who design space every day is an essential resource to continuously evolve our product offering and our culture of the threshold.

Looking ahead: Osteria dell’Architetto at Marmomac
The journey of the Osteria is now preparing for an exhibition chapter. From September 22 to 25, 2026, the format will arrive in Verona for Marmomac (Hall 11).
In this context, the Osteria will serve as a gathering point within the trade fair, welcoming visitors daily from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. The highlight of our presence will be the daily 12:00 pm series, “An Hour With…”, featuring four leading figures of contemporary architecture: Benedetta Tagliabue (EMBT Architects), Michele Rossi (Park Associati), Cino Zucchi (CZA), and Stefano Pujatti (ELASTICOfarm). A further opportunity to extend the value of conversation and exchange into major international events.
