Among the productions selected by the Treviso Film Commission and presented at the 78th Venice International Film Festival there is also the docu-film “Interior-Doc”, the project that tells the adventure of a family grappling with a renovation and with the original “Interior-D” approach where psychologists and architects work together for a design truly shared at 360 degrees with the client.
Among the entities involved there is Oikos together with a pool of leading companies from the Furniture District between Veneto and Friuli regions, sharing the vision of living as “wellbeing”.
The home as an intimate space in which each member of the family must feel comfortable, find his or her own dimension and be recognized. It is starting from this vision that a pool of companies from the Furniture District that stretches between Padua, Bassano, Treviso, Conegliano, Portogruaro, Pordenone and Udine, have decided to join the initiative of a young architect from Treviso, Carla Palù, owner of the Cu Design architecture firm, with her all-female team, and in collaboration with another all-female team, that of Margherita Benintendi, owner of Sunflower, a design build company that creates turnkey projects, customized in every detail together with the client.
The project “INTERIOR_DOC” is the realization of a docu-film that explores the different emotional, relational, practical aspects of a family struggling with the renovation of their home. From the concerns and the different family needs, which also concern the two young children of the couple being the client of the project, to the role of architects and psychologists, who all together support the family in this delicate moment of their lives, up to the meeting with some local manufacturers, all leaders in their fields and all linked by a common vision of living that goes beyond the functionality of the furnishing components.
A documentary that immerses itself in the territory, with glimpses of some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Veneto region, and that also tells a lot about the entrepreneurial spirit that animates this land, the passion for their own work, the creativity of its entrepreneurs and the difficulties they have faced and overcome during the Covid period, with the development of new visions of living.
The focus of the narrative is that quid that makes Italian design the benchmark for the entire international sector, that vision that precedes the creation of products and that emerges from the background of companies that have a deep-rooted and stratified history, with an international market. The changing dimension of the family, the awareness of new needs related to an evolving society and a new concept of home and liquid spaces that are transformed indoor and outdoor. Indoor and Outdoor as aspects of living that intersect and develop around the concept of home. A vision deeply marked also by the experience of the pandemic that is making us rethink domestic spaces.
A design according to which the person is at the center of every choice and decision. Each member of the family, with his or her own needs and specificities, deserves proper recognition within the framework of the project.
The partner companies of the project, in addition to Oikos – Architetture d’ingresso are: Ayuppie.com, Caccaro, Cesar, CP PARQUET, Macrolux, NIDI, Pratic, Rexa Design, Varaschin.
