Oikos Venice will be present at BIG Architecture in Ljubljana, one of the two events dedicated to the world of architecture and design organized by BIG SEE. It will be held from 15th to 16th of May and will be an event intended for an audience of architects, interior designers, engineers and other expert decision makers. Its purpose is to reveal new materials, innovative technologies and advanced solutions.
What is BIG SEE?
It is a brand that was born in South-East Europe and aims to become the global springboard for a «responsible» generation.
BIG started in the early 2000s as a Slovenian national promoter of quality architecture and design, it has hosted 2 national exhibitions and conferences. In the mid-2010s, the activities were expanded to the South-East Europe (EEA) region, hosting 2 regional fairs and conferences and publishing the magazine «see».
Nowadays, in a context of climate change, industries around the world are faced with a double challenge: to deal with the consequences of climate change and to seize the opportunities it offers. The BIG SEE trade show is committed to further expanding its activities, with the aim of inspiring and guiding industries towards a specific mission: to promote urgent changes in the ways people live, work and, most importantly, consume.
In this context, architects and designers play a crucial role. They are called to create sustainable products and accessible projects, without sacrificing aesthetic beauty. The challenge is to combine functionality and aesthetics, creating solutions that are environmentally friendly and aesthetically pleasing.
At the trade show there will be two awards: one for architecture and one for interior design. Both value creativity, innovation, attention to the environment and sustainability.
BIG SEE AWARDS
The BIG SEE Awards for architecture and interior design will be presented during the BIG Architecture Ljubljana Festival. The winners will have the unique opportunity to present their works during the entire days of 15 and 16 May.
The exhibition of the winning projects is an extraordinary occasion to celebrate the creative excellence of the territory, explore innovative ideas, ingenious solutions and bold visions. It represents a crossroads of talent, inspiration and possibilities
